Basic Controls:

Loading Media folders:

-From your file browser, drag and drop media folders into the movie control box. Or, click on the folder icon to select your media folder from your hard drive.


-You can populate the loaded folders list with un-limited number of media folders.
-Press "remove folder" icon to remove a loaded media folder.


To load a single movie file, drag and drop it into either Chan. A or B’s preview window.

Playback Controls :

To trigger movie files, click on one of the seven “clip” buttons, or use "number" keys on your keyboard.

- You may change the range of the slider by click on the box on top of the slider.
- The button on the side allows you to bypass pitch change.
- Press + or - buttons to perform pitch shift.



- Play and Pause, use double arrow buttons to play forward and backwards.
- Toggle between 3 playback modes: loop, pendulum, and no loop. "L" key
- Rewind - play beginning of the clip. "~" key
tip: click anywhere on the timeline to set a new rewind point.
- Automatically plays next clip in your folder when pressed.
- Load currently playng media into RAM.
- Set new loop points by clicking on the buttons located on the left and right sides of the loop range bar, or click and drag on the bar with your mouse to set new loop points. Press "X" to reset.
- Press triangle to store loop points, press # button to recall.

Common Buttons:
On/Off switch- Toggle on and off effects or preview monitors.
Reset - Reset to default.
BPM - Sync to BPM. more info >
Chop - Timeline reconstruction tool. Toggle this button to cut the timeline, then automatically re-arrange the video according to where you cut it. Cut multipul times at different places will result in play head jumping to various points on the timeline, very cool. Reload the clip to restore.
Trip/Martini Glass - Toggle this button to allow playhead to jump back in time slightly and play forward again over and over. BPM does effect how fast or slow it happens.
FPS - Calculates current Frames Per Second being displayed.
Full Screen - Toggle full screen mode on/off. "Esc" key

BPM:

note: be sure to switch audio "on" in preferences window to allow BPM tap function to work.
- Mouse click to calculate Beats Per Minute, or press "Tab" key on your keyboard.
- Click and drag the BPM count value up or down to adjust.

- Sync BPM to an external MIDI clock device.

(available in the Preferences window)

Second monitor output (extended desktop):
- In your Display Properties window, under Settings tab, highlight the second monitor icon and check “extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor”. Be sure to plug in your second monitor device.
- Drag the output window onto your extended desktop. Enable full screen mode by pressing the Full Screen button or the "ESC" key on your keyboard.

DV Input Setup: (for PC users only, no drivers needed for Mac OSX)

- Plug in your Digital Video devices via Firewire port before launching the software. The DV input source will be automatically detected.
- Windows requires the use of a 3rd party driver to receive video input via Firewire port. Please try WinVDIG, it's free.

Record to hard drive:

- Press REC button to record to hard disk.
- For PC: by default, all your recorded files will be saved in the "recordings" folder, located inside the Neuromixer Pro application folder.
- For Mac: drag and drop a folder into the "Recorder" to set your destination folder.
